Opened in 1990, the Rose Museum exhibits Carnegie Hall's history and archival treasures for the public. The permanent exhibit contains a chronology of events from 1891 to the present, a history of the building, and items relating to some of the more notable tenants from the past. On a regular basis, to coincide with an event onstage or an anniversary, temporary exhibits are shown, which feature material borrowed from other archives.

The Rose Museum is located at 154 West 57th Street, Weill Recital Hall entrance, on the second floor.
