Yes indeed the space was once a garage, but when Rachel Allswang, an interior designer turned restauranteur, got her hands on it she converted the space into a welcoming, comfy French joint. With food inspired by her mother, Catherine's, recipes.
Catherine served at numerous restaurants around the globe, including a Laiterie Sainte Clotilde, Le Sept/Quinze, Chez Graff and Le Cafe´ de Mars in Paris, as well as Le Mistral and South Park Cafe´ in San Francisco.
The menu is seasonal with locally sourced ingredients, and a large bar serves great cocktails, regional beers and has a wine list that leans French.
