Conceived by Nicholas Ashford, one half of the songwriting and performing sensation Ashford & Simpson, the converted first floor of the mixed use brownstone is one of the most cultural and intimate Live Entertainment / Full Service Restaurants you’ll find in New York’s trendy Upper West Side. Co-owned with his wife Valerie Simpson, the Sugar Bar was built in 1996 and emmenates the intimate vibration of an old country village where the air alone heals the soul.
